Go Go Go!
At Bristol Activity Centre we deliver safe, high-quality quad bike treks around the undulating terrain of our urban venue using only top quality, fully insured machines.
Are you looking for an exhilarating Quad Trek in Bristol?
At our outdoor, off-road quad track we provide full instruction, you will learn how to manoeuvre and control your quad bike with confidence.
This experience is suitable for a complete quad novice. But is also challenging enough for a person who has gained some previous quad biking skill.
The first half-hour of your session includes a safety briefing with instruction on how to use our automatic 300cc off-road quad bikes.
You will then be kitted out with correctly fitting helmets.
What to wear..
You must be covered, so please wear long sleeves, and full length trousers.
Participants are also required to wear a balaclava underneath their quad helmet for hygiene reasons. And all participants are also required to wear full finger gloves. Participants may bring their own balaclava and gloves, otherwise these can be purchased on site.
If your not appropriately dressed, disposable coveralls are also available to purchase.
A basic skill trail will start with you driving in and out of poles, enabling you to get used to the controls, and then drive around the tight turns at a faster speed.
After this is complete, we will then take you off and around our main quad trek where you’ll hone your skills at controlling your bike on various terrains.
You will each get a total of 30 minutes minimum on the quad bikes.
Participants need to arrive ‘no earlier’ than 15 minutes prior to their booked timeslot.
No, at Bristol activity centre we run a quad trek.
Although our 300cc quad bikes can reach some great speeds, we focus more on the driving skill aspect and experience.
You will drive varied terrains such as dirt tracks, grass field, and a long flat straight. We take you up steep inclines and downhills.
It’s an exhilarating trek around a large track which will really test your driving skill, and for those with more advanced capabilities, our track extends with additional routes which will put your skills further to the test to navigate the trek.
This Trek is suitable for the complete novice who had never driven a quad before, right up to those with some experience. We take the trek at your pace and it’s all tailored to your skill.
We provide a full face helmet, we have a range of sizes so your helmet will be fitted by one of our instructors.
You will need suitable clothing, we recommend full-length trousers (no shorts) a long sleeve top and closed toe footwear – preferably sturdy boots, or trainers with grip.
Participants are also required to wear a balaclava underneath their quad helmet for hygiene reasons. Additionally all participants are required to wear full finger gloves. Participants may bring their own balaclava and gloves, otherwise these can be purchased on site.
Participants not appropriately dressed may be excluded from participating, although we do sell disposable coveralls if required.
Some patches might be muddy, and there are puddles which you can avoid if you wish
We drive over a varied terrain which covers concrete roadways, cobbled stone roads and fields.
But we still recommend bringing a change of clothes just in-case you get wet from the rain.
The Quad bikes are very easy to drive for novices, they have a reverse gear, a low gear to climbing those hills, and a high gear for when you want to go a bit faster – simple!
Please note, we ask for a deposit at the start of your trek – this is a security deposit to ensure that there is no deliberate dangerous or careless driving which may damage our quad bikes.
Of course we understand that accidents happen, and we are of course fully insured, but this is to prevent unnecessary/malicious damage.
