Clay Shooting

Traditionally, clay pigeon shooting is a sport using clay targets which are thrown into by a “trap”
At Bristol Activity Centre we provide everything you need for a quality clay pigeon shooting experience whether your a complete beginner, or a seasoned shooter.

Our comprehensive sporting shoot boasts undercover shooting huts throughout our woodland, offering a range of varied shot’s including “the rabbit” the “dropping duck” and the “rising teal” to name a few.

Set in mature woodland overlooking the Severn Estuary, our venue is conveniently located within a one minutes drive of Junction 17 of Cribbs Causeway, on the M5 motorway.

Our shooting packages include a set number of clays with an equal amount of shotgun cartridges.

We provide ear and eye protection, and our shooting range is ran by a qualified CPSA safety officer.

Our experienced instructors are on hand throughout the session to tutor you on the correct way to shoot.

After a few practice shots, you will be given your own individual score cards to enable you to keep score of your session.

The top scorer will be awarded with a gold medal!

Depending on the number of clays in your chosen shooting package, you will try your hand at several different clay pigeon shooting stands ranging in difficulty.

We believe in using the best equipment, favouring the famous Beretta shotgun to provide an authentic and quality shooting experience.

We specialise in giving beginners a great first shooting experience, we ensure that the guns we use give less of the painful “kick back” that is commonly associated with shotgun shooting.

We also use special sub-sonic shotgun cartridges which not only reduce noise, but also reduce the common “kick back” a standard shotgun cartridge gives.
