Low Impact Paintball
The perfect choice for children’s birthday Paintball parties, family trips or hen parties that want the adrenaline rush of Paintball but pain free!
About Low Impact Paintball
Revolutionary new manufacturing processes now mean that a Paintball can be made smaller, travel just as far as a standard Paintball, but now they also burst on impact.
This new smaller Paintball is around 1/3 the size of a standard Paintball and so hits with around 1/3 of the force, as a result we can now offer Paintball games to juniors as young as 8 years old!
We play “Low Impact” in exactly the same game areas, each player wears exactly the same kit as standard Paintball, the paintballs travel just as fast and fly just as far as a standard Paintball, but with only 1/3 of the impact, these games are suitable for children from 8 – 12 years old
The guns are slightly smaller than normal and we have fitted air bottles that are only 1/4 the size of our standard Paintball equipment, this means that even the smallest of people can easily play.
Junior Paintball is proving to be very, very popular, especially with birthday parties. Numbers are restricted so please book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
Myth Buster – Low Impact is not a kids version of Paintball. The paintballs are just smaller. They actually fire faster than the standard paintballs, they go just as far, and the game is played in the same game zones as the standard Paintball. The Low Impact Paintballs just hit with 1/3 of the impact. – Perfect for kids paintball birthday parties!

- Smaller paintballs – less painful.
- Smaller players – 8 – 12 year olds.
- Smaller timescale – 2 hour sessions. (10:00am – 12:00am / 12:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 4:00pm)

What to wear
We supply all standard equipment, and all-in-one coveralls for the players to wear over the top of their own clothing.
We also supply as standard, full-head Paintball goggles that are fitted and checked by our staff to ensure that they fit correctly and safely, and are comfortable to wear.
All participants will need to be wearing suitable footwear, like walking boots – and perhaps a good pair of gloves. We do additionally hire armoured Paintball gloves for £2 per person, or they can also be purchased from our on-site shop for £5 a pair.
We would also suggest that bringing a change of clothing might be a good idea.
Food and drink
Drinks and snacks are always available from our on-site shop at very reasonable prices. And we politely ask that only food purchased from our on-site shop is consumed on the premises.
However! If you’re organising a birthday party group or similar occasion. We’re happy for our customers to bring along their own birthday cakes. ( If you have any special, party food requirements. Please let us know in advance. )

Although Paintball and low impact Paintball are not inherently dangerous! Bristol Activity Centre takes safety very seriously, and we have a first class safety record. Parents often comment that we take safety more seriously than many other Paintball providers.
All participants receive a safety briefing for each activity they participate in – whether Paintball and/or Low Impact Paintball etc. This way we can be certain that young participants especially are clear on how to stay safe, and how to keep their friends safe too.
Players will then be divided into teams, with different coloured wrist bands and gun colour. When everyone is ready, a senior staff member will then explain how to use the equipment. And then the battles shall commence – with all games fully supervised by our trained instructors.
Children with disabilities
Paintball and Low Impact Paintball are both physically demanding and require a certain level physical ability.
While we always welcome players with a disability. Both the player(s) and their parents or guardians need to be aware of the nature of Paintball and the terrain that we play on. And therefore make a subsequent assessment of their ability to safely enjoy the activity they wish to pursue, based upon their own physical ability and overall disability.
